Inchcolm Island
On the 7th of May we went out to Inchcolm Island in the Firth of Forth for the day.
Inchcolm is known as the "Iona of the East" and is one of the best preserved abbeys in Scotland. Its not as ancient as its western counterpart, only dating from the 12th century.
Inchcolm Abbey:
The World War I/II fortifications on the island reminded me a lot of North Head in Auckland.
We couldn't explore many of them as it is sea gull nesting season and they are, apparently, a bit aggressive!
Looking back towards the Forth Bridge.
Rock formations near the piers:
Looking across the smaller beach toward the abbey.

This is going to sound really weird, but I get the strongest sense of Seoras in those pics. Each one where L is in, I feel S is in it too... I don't know, it's just a really strong presence. Can't describe it any further. Sorry if this is offensive.
