Kitchen, finished (almost)
My friend's brother in law came around this evening and tiled the kitchen. If I had known it would cost so little and take such a short amount of time we would have done it ages ago. This is 3 hours work!
I think I should buy a new oven mit! And yes, that's a Buzzy Bee tea towel :)

House
We've been doing a lot of work in the house in preparation for selling it (we're moving to Scotland) and here are some not particularly great pictures of the results.
The bathroom finally got some vinyl on the floor (it still needs skirting boards).
The hall cupboard, which used to be the toilet, finally got painted and some flooring too (pound a pack vinyl tiles).
The stairs were re-wallpapered (by N's father) and was carpetted.
And I painted the spare room, which used to be orange, and it was carpetted as well.
